Cindy Creekmore

Description
Cindy Creekmore is an American actress whose career encompasses live-action television and film, as well as extensive voice work for animated series, particularly English dubs of anime produced in Southeast Asia. She was born in New York City and raised in Houston, Texas. Creekmore earned a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Theatre from Southwestern University in Georgetown, Texas, before returning to New York to pursue an acting career. She spent nine years training and working as an actor in New York City, during which she booked national commercials and co-founded an all-female improvisational comedy troupe called Chicks with Shticks at Caroline's Comedy Club on Broadway.

Creekmore's career took a significant turn when she relocated to Southeast Asia. There, she became a prolific voice artist, providing English voices for more than 500 international cartoons and anime series. This period of her career was marked by collaborations with studios like Voiceovers Unlimited in Singapore, often working under the direction of Brian Zimmerman alongside a regular pool of voice actors. Her work involved dubbing numerous Japanese anime series for broadcast in the Asian market.

Among her most well-documented voice roles from this era are those in the anime series Shutsugeki! Machine Robo Rescue. In this 2003 series, Creekmore voiced two of the main characters: the enthusiastic young protagonist Taiyo Ozora and another member of the Rescue team, Rin Haruka. Her extensive voice work in Southeast Asia also included a variety of other notable anime titles. Her credits include voicing Christine Hamada, Melissa (Momoka), Mikan Yamamura, and Naomi Tenchi (Nanami Tenchi) in the Odex dub of Daa! Daa! Daa!, Kaori Doumoto in Hungry Heart - Wild Striker, and the third voice for the character Nami in the Odex dub of One Piece. She also contributed to the Singaporean dubs of Doraemon, Haibane Renmei, and provided the voice for Rina in the OVA Terra Story. Earlier in her career, she voiced the character Rina in the 1994 animated short film Triangle Love.

Creekmore also lent her voice to English-language animated productions. She starred in the HBO Emmy Award-winning animated series I-Spy, a claymation program based on the popular children's book series. Her voice can also be heard in the 2003 I Spy video release, A Runaway Robot and Other Stories.

Following her time in Asia, Creekmore returned to the United States and continued her acting career. A notable achievement was landing a recurring role as Missy Aubrey in the critically acclaimed and hit television series Friday Night Lights, appearing in four episodes from 2006 to 2007. She also appeared in the Disney Channel original movie Hatching Pete as Miss Banfield. Creekmore's film credits from this later period include roles in major motion pictures such as the 2011 comedy Butter and the 2012 film Playing for Keeps (also known as Playing the Field), appearing alongside actors like Jennifer Garner, Gerard Butler, and Uma Thurman.
