Dwayne Tan is a Singaporean actor, voice actor, and singer known for his extensive work in English-language dubs of anime series produced for the Singapore market. His career is built on a strong foundation in musical theatre and live performance. He is a graduate of the American Musical and Dramatic Academy in New York and started his career with the Singapore Armed Forces Music and Drama Company. He has been an active stage actor, appearing in productions with theatre companies such as Theatreworks, Action Theatre, and the Singapore Repertory Theatre, where he was also a Young Company alumnus. He is recognized for his prolific output in anime dubbing during the 2000s. He was a key member of the voice cast at Voiceovers Unlimited in Singapore. In the series Shutsugeki! Machine Robo Rescue, he voiced six distinct characters: Arias "Ace" Hono, Gyro Robo, Jay, Ken Minami, Koshiro Sakaki, and Submarine Robo. In Mirmo Zibang!, he voiced multiple roles including Dylan Yuki, Sasuke, Peter, Jirou, and Shirou. In Bakkyuu HIT! Crash Bedaman, he voiced Kodou Kuraki and Teruma Kamioka. He is known for his role as Joey Wheeler in the Singaporean dub of Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters. In the dub of One Piece, he voiced several characters, including Portgas D. Ace, Mr. 2 Bon Clay, Mr. 3, and Dalton. His other anime credits include roles in The Prince of Tennis, UFO Baby, Hungry Heart - Wild Striker, Karin, and Gokusen. He was a finalist in the first season of Singapore Idol and released an EP titled Moments Alone. He hosted a radio program on Passion 99.5FM for five years and authored a novel, My Cup of Teh-O: A Singaporean Boy's Search for Home in America. His on-screen acting includes appearances in the film Cyber Wars and a cameo in Disney's Enchanted, and he has also been trained in puppetry.
