Michel Tugot-Doris is a French actor primarily known for his extensive work in dubbing, providing the French voices for numerous characters in live-action films, television series, and animated programs. Born in Paris, he is the son of comedian and humorist Pierre Doris. He began his career in the 1960s, starting with television commercials before moving to film and taking comedy courses with Gérard Depardieu.

Over a career spanning approximately five decades, Tugot-Doris became a prolific figure in French dubbing, contributing to several hundred films and television shows. His voice work in anime is particularly notable, with a wide range of roles in series and films dubbed for the French market. Among his most recognized anime roles are Dr Zéro in Space Pirate Captain Herlock The Endless Odyssey, Suikakujû in Urotsukidōji: Legend of the Overfiend, and Boss in the feature film Mazinger Z Vs. Devilman. He also voiced the character Yattaran in various adaptations of Leiji Matsumoto's works, including Harlock Saga and Cosmo Warrior Zero.

His extensive anime filmography includes roles in Cowboy Bebop as Docteur Baccus, Hunter X Hunter as Tonpa, and One Piece, where he was the first voice for the characters Pappag and Pekoms. He also lent his voice to films such as Steamboy as Archibald Simon and Astérix et les Indiens as Assurancetourix. Beyond anime, Tugot-Doris performed in numerous live-action dubs. He is widely recognized in France as the voice of Uncle Vernon Dursley, played by Richard Griffiths, in the Harry Potter film series. He also voiced the character Bouffi (Fatso) in the live-action/CGI film Casper, provided voices for three different characters in Titanic, and was the voice of Tito Makani in the animated series Rocket Power.
