Carlos Díaz

Description
Carlos Díaz is a Mexican voice actor and scientist, recognized for his extensive work in Spanish dubbing for animation and live-action series and films. He was born Carlos Alejandro Díaz Tufinio on March 6, 1989, in Mexico City. Díaz balances his career in voice acting with a professional life in science, holding a degree in Biotechnology Engineering and a doctorate in sciences, and he is also involved in teaching and scientific research.

He is perhaps best known in this field for being the Spanish voice of Rock Lee in the Naruto and Naruto Shippuden anime franchises. His other anime credits include providing the second voice for Shinji Koganei in Kuroko no Basket and voicing Touya Mochizuki in In Another World With My Smartphone.

Beyond anime, his voice acting portfolio is extensive and varied. He is recognized as the primary dubbing actor for actor Josh Hutcherson, voicing his characters in numerous films including the The Hunger Games series as Peeta Mellark. He also provided the voice for Ron Weasley in the first two Harry Potter films and for the title character in the series Malcolm in the Middle.

In animation, he voiced the character Stingy from the children's series Lazy Town, a role for which he would temporarily hold his nose to achieve the desired vocal effect. He also performed as the voice of Archie and Ramón in the Chilean animated series Los Pulentos.

Carlos Díaz has a recurring collaboration with his brother, who is also a voice actor, Manuel Díaz. They have appeared together in various projects, often voicing brothers, such as in the film Zathura and the anime Pokémon: Black and White. A notable fact from his career is that he provided the voice for both a child Goku in Dr. Slump 2 and a child Vegeta in Dragon Ball Z Kai, each for different production circumstances.
