Description
Paulo Roberto Padilha Vignolo was born in Rio de Janeiro on December 26, 1969. His artistic career began in childhood; at the age of eight, he performed in a benefit show, and by 1980 he was appearing in television commercials. In 1981, he was contracted by TV Globo, where he acted in children's programs and telenovelas, making his acting debut as Geninho in the novela Pão Pão, Beijo Beijo. He entered the field of dubbing in 1982, with his first role being the voice of Eliot in the Brazilian Portuguese dub of E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. By the mid-1980s, he left on-screen acting to focus exclusively on voice work as a dubbing artist, director, and casting supervisor.

In the realm of anime, Vignolo is recognized for his role as Sago in the series Shinzo, which is titled Mushrambo in its original Japanese version. Other notable anime credits include providing the voice for Amor de Peixes in Os Cavaleiros do Zodíaco Omega.

Beyond anime, Vignolo has built an extensive career as the official Brazilian Portuguese voice for several prominent Hollywood actors. He is the regular dubbing voice for Jack Black in the majority of his film roles, including features such as King Kong, Trovão Tropical, and the Jumanji franchise. He has also consistently dubbed performances by Heath Ledger, in films like O Patriota and Coração de Cavaleiro, and Edward Norton, in movies such as O Incrível Hulk and O Legado Bourne. His voice is also associated with the character Nelson Muntz in the long-running series Os Simpsons and with Michael Kyle in the sitcom Eu, a Patroa e as Crianças.

In 2005, Vignolo founded Gigavoxx, a dubbing studio in Rio de Janeiro where he serves as director and a dubbing professor, training new professionals in the field. That same year, he received an Oscar da dublagem, a significant industry award, in the category of Best Leading Dubbing Actor for his work as the voice of Michael Kyle.
