Description
Sago is a Water elemental Enterran, genetically engineered with human DNA and recognized as one of the Chosen Enterrans destined to protect the last human, Yakumo, on her journey to Shinzo. He embodies the Dragon and the East within the Four Gods symbolism, reflected in his blue color scheme and draconic features during his Hyper Form as the Azure Dragon. Embedded in his helmet rests a Celestial Jewel, one of three released from the meteor imprisoning Lanancuras. The Celestial Guardians gave him this jewel after the original Mushrambo's defeat, granting him the power to aid Yakumo.

Sago first appears alongside Mushra and Kutal, forming a trio capable of fusing into Mushrambo when Sago and Kutal are carded and absorbed by Mushra. This fusion becomes essential against major threats like the Seven Enterran Generals. During Season 1, Sago demonstrates strategic ingenuity, devising a plan to infiltrate Insect King Daku's castle by feigning submission and later orchestrating a petrol-and-fire diversion to escape. His loyalty faces repeated tests, culminating in a sacrificial death against Snake King Gyasa to protect Hakuba and kittens, allowing Mushra to absorb his card and transform into Mushrambo for Gyasa's defeat.

Following a timeline reset caused by Rusephine's actions, Season 2 places Sago in an altered world where the Human-Enterran war never occurred. Initially without memories of Yakumo or his mission, he obsessively gambles, dismissing Binka's pleas to rejoin the quest. He refuses his Celestial Jewel, prioritizing his winnings, until Binka retrieves his stolen equipment. His resolve reignites when bear cubs under Binka's care transform into Kadrian beasts; enraged, he reclaims his jewel, activates his Hyper Form, and rejoins the fight.

Personality-wise, Sago is characterized by cunning and mischievousness, often engaging in gambling or petty competitions with Mushra and Kutal. Despite his roguish tendencies, he exhibits tactical intelligence in battles and deep loyalty, particularly when allies are endangered. His combat abilities center on water manipulation: in base form, he wields a double-edged blade, while his Hyper Form (activated by "Hydro Power") enhances his strength tenfold and unleashes aquatic techniques. These include the Aqua Blade (a circular water disc), Aqua Tornado (a high-pressure vortex), and Aqua Dragon (a 30-foot water dragon used for offense or imprisonment). After a power boost from King Nipper, he gains bat-like wings and golden armor accents, enabling flight and expanding the range of his water attacks.

Physical inconsistencies arise across timelines, such as his hair color appearing light brown with blond highlights in one episode but light bluish in another, potentially due to temporal distortions. In the revised timeline, he remains a steadfast protector for Binka, applying his strategic mind against Kadrian threats like Eilis' amusement park illusion.
