Eduardo Borja was a prominent Mexican voice actor, recognized for his extensive work in the Spanish dubbing of anime series, films, and television programs. He was born Amador Eduardo Borja Huizar on January 21, 1940, in Mexico. A graduate of the National Institute of Fine Arts, he began his career in classical and experimental theater in 1963 before becoming a prolific figure in voice acting.

Borja's career encompassed a wide range of iconic roles in anime dubbed in Mexico. He is well-known for providing the voice of León in the anime series Dragon League. His other significant anime credits include the role of Dohko de Libra in Los Caballeros del Zodiaco (Saint Seiya) and Breetai in Robotech. He also contributed voices to the Dragon Ball franchise, playing characters such as King Gurumes in the first movie and film, Porunga, and Ox Satan in some episodes of Dragon Ball Z, as well as Gran Kaioh in Dragon Ball Z: Fusion Reborn. His work extended to other series, including roles in The Rose of Versailles, Sailor Moon Sailor Stars, and as Nemesis in Saber Rider and the Star Sheriffs.

Beyond anime, his voice became familiar to Spanish-speaking audiences through numerous other prominent roles. He was the voice of Chief Wiggum in the Spanish dubbing of The Simpsons, Lord Zedd in Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers, and Fat Cat in Chip 'n Dale: Rescue Rangers. He also dubbed characters in live-action films, such as Ivan Drago in Rocky IV, and provided Spanish voices for actors like James Doohan as Scotty in the Star Trek franchise. In his later years, he was involved in redubbing projects for classic Disney films, including voicing the Magic Mirror in a new Spanish version of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs.

Eduardo Borja passed away on April 11, 2000, due to a stroke caused by complications from diabetes. His legacy is that of a foundational figure in Mexican dubbing, whose voice characterized a multitude of beloved characters for a generation of viewers across Latin America.
