Esteban Siller Garza was a prominent Mexican voice actor, born in Monterrey, Mexico, on April 17, 1931, who built an extensive career spanning over five decades until his passing on October 23, 2013, in Mexico City. He is widely regarded as a pioneer in the field of dubbing in Mexico, having begun his work in voiceover at the age of 23 while also developing a concurrent career in radio, theater, and film.

His contributions to anime dubbing for the Latin American Spanish market are numerous and feature a variety of significant roles. He is known for providing the voice of the Genie (Daimaou) in the series Hakushon Daimaō. He voiced the character Sr. Tachibana, the elderly man who takes in the titular character, in the magical girl anime Mahou Shoujo Lalabel (Lala Bell). Another notable anime role was that of the reclusive Archibald Craven in the 1991 adaptation of Anime Himitsu no Hanazono (The Secret Garden). His extensive anime filmography also includes voicing Keel Lorenz, the leader of the Seele organization, in the original Latin Spanish dub of Neon Genesis Evangelion, the grandfather of Sakura in Cardcaptor Sakura, Doctor Grimm in El Ceniciento, and Musashi Miyamoto in Yaiba. He also lent his voice to several anime films, such as Señor Vitalis in the movie Remi, La Película and Captain Juzo Okita in Space Cruiser Yamato.

Beyond anime, Siller's voice became iconic to Latin American audiences through his work on numerous animated series and films. He was the definitive Spanish voice of the villain Gargamel in the beloved series The Smurfs and of Sam Bigotes (Yosemite Sam) in various Looney Tunes productions. He also voiced characters like Maurice, the father of Belle, in Disney's Beauty and the Beast, Hudson in Gargoyles, and Master Oogway in Kung Fu Panda. His work extended to live-action dubbing, where he became known as the regular Spanish voice for actors such as Robert Duvall, Danny DeVito, and Sean Connery in many of their films.

Throughout his career, Siller had recurring collaborations with other voice actors, a common practice in the close-knit dubbing industry, working alongside talents like Patricia Palestino and Eduardo Garza on various projects. Among his notable achievements, he was recognized for being one of the most consistent voices for characters like Santa Claus in numerous productions. He was also a founder and teacher at the dubbing studio and school SIGE Produciendo, contributing to the formation of future generations of voice actors in Mexico.
