Nobuko Shinokura
Description
Nobuko Shinokura was a Japanese actress and voice actor. She was born on January 3, 1962, in Chiba Prefecture, and was a graduate of the theatrical troupe Geidanza. Her career in the entertainment industry spanned from the 1980s until her passing in 1999.
As a voice actor, Shinokura contributed to several animated productions. In the 1996 television anime series Shōnen Santa no Daibōken, she provided the voice for the character Nishil, also known as Necile. Her work in animation also included a role in the 1994 theatrical film Guskō Budori no Denki, where she voiced the character Neri. Beyond animation, her voice acting work extended to other media, such as the drama CD Wachi Field Monogatari Dayan no Oishii Yume in 1994, in which she played the lead role of Dayan, and the cassette book Hana no Keiji in 1993, where she voiced the character Omatsu.
In addition to her voice work, Shinokura was active as a stage actress and appeared in numerous television dramas. Her live-action roles included appearances in the NHK大河ドラマ Hachidai Shōgun Yoshimune in 1995 and the television drama series Kin'ichi Shōnen no Jikenbo in 1996. She also performed in educational programming, appearing as Nokko on the NHK Educational program Sansū Suisui from 1988 to 1989. Nobuko Shinokura passed away on May 25, 1999, at the age of 37.
