Description
Pamela Segall, also known professionally as Pamela Adlon, is an American voice actor who has contributed to several English-language adaptations of anime and animated projects. In the 2003 animated science fiction anthology film The Animatrix, she voiced the character Jue in the short segment The Final Flight of the Osiris. Jue is a crew member of the hovercraft Osiris who engages in a critical mission to warn the human city of Zion of an impending attack. This role placed her within the larger universe of The Matrix franchise.

Beyond this specific credit, Segall's work in anime-influenced and Japanese-animated projects includes voice roles in several notable films. She provided the voice of Leila in the English dub of the 2000 film Vampire Hunter D: Bloodlust. Her involvement with Studio Ghibli films includes voicing Ket in the 1989 English-language version of Kiki's Delivery Service and contributing additional voices to the 1997 English dub of Princess Mononoke. She also voiced a small role, listed as Fairy, in the 1992 animated film FernGully: The Last Rainforest. In The Animatrix, in addition to her role as Jue, she also voiced the character Manabu in another segment of the film titled Beyond.

Throughout her voice acting career, Segall has frequently worked with a recurring group of fellow voice actors, many of whom are also prominent in the industry. Her collaborations include multiple projects with actors such as John DiMaggio, Kevin Michael Richardson, Debi Derryberry, and Tara Strong, all of whom appeared with her in The Animatrix. Her frequent work with these performers highlights her integration into a core ensemble of voice talents in American animation and English anime dubs.

Segall's achievements in voice acting have been recognized with an Emmy Award. In 2002, she won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Voice-Over Performance for her work as the characters Bobby Hill, Clark Peters, and Chane Wassonasong in the long-running American animated series King of the Hill. This award underscores her skill and versatility as a performer, a quality also evident in her anime and animated film roles.
