Martina Treger

Description
Martina Treger is a highly accomplished German actress and voice actress, born in 1963. She began her career with theatrical training and on-stage performances before transitioning to voice work in the late 1980s. This shift was prompted by a diagnosis of alopecia areata, a condition that causes hair loss, leading her to focus on her distinctive vocal talents. Her first major film dubbing role came in 1994 when she voiced Sharon Stone in The Specialist. Since then, she has become one of the most sought-after and busiest voice actors in Germany, having lent her voice to over a thousand film and television productions.

Treger is renowned as the official German dubbing voice for several prominent actresses. She has been the regular German voice for Sharon Stone since their first collaboration in 1994, dubbing her in numerous films including Casino, for which Stone won a Golden Globe. She is also the German voice for Carrie-Anne Moss, a role that brought her widespread recognition with the 1999 blockbuster The Matrix, where she voiced the iconic character Trinity. Treger has continued to voice Trinity in all subsequent Matrix films, including the 2021 sequel The Matrix Resurrections. Beyond science fiction, she voices Queen Latifah in many of her roles and has also dubbed other stars such as Viola Davis, Deborah Kara Unger, Famke Janssen, and Jane Kaczmarek. She has also contributed her voice to the world of anime, voicing Trinity in both The Animatrix segments, A Detective Story and Kid's Story.

In addition to her work with these stars, Treger's career includes a vast and diverse range of roles. She voiced the character Lois, played by Jane Kaczmarek, in the popular sitcom Malcolm in the Middle and has appeared in numerous Star Trek projects as the voice of various characters. She has also voiced Viola Davis as Professor Annalise Keating in the series How to Get Away with Murder and as Amanda Waller in several DC Extended Universe films like The Suicide Squad and Black Adam. Beyond film and television, Treger has an extensive body of work in video games, audiobooks, and radio plays, and has also worked as a dialogue director for German dubs, including for the film Fahrenheit 451.
