Évelyne Séléna, whose full name was Évelyn Andree Raquel Schetrit, was a French actress born on July 19, 1939, in Casablanca, Morocco, and she passed away on March 25, 2025, in Paris at the age of 85. She began her artistic career in her native Morocco, working in radio where she recorded youth programs and theatrical pieces under the pseudonym Evelyn Flore. Her formal training included time at the Conservatory in Rabat, followed by studies at the Conservatoire national supérieur d'art dramatique in Paris starting in 1964.
While Séléna appeared in live-action films, most notably alongside Fernandel in "La Cuisine au beurre" and in "Heureux qui comme Ulysse," the majority of her prolific career was dedicated to dubbing. She became one of the most recognized and active voices in French dubbing, lending her talents to a vast array of international films and television series.
