Peter Spellos was an American voice actor known for his extensive work in anime dubbing and animated series, with a career that spanned several decades until his death in 2023. Born on March 1, 1954, he built a reputation for voicing a wide array of characters, often bringing a distinctive energy to villains and comedic roles. His voice became familiar to audiences through numerous projects recorded in the United States for the English-language market.

Spellos's career was marked by a high volume of work in both anime and Western animation. He was particularly active in the dubbing industry, contributing to many series that were localized for American audiences. Among his most recognized roles is Sky-Byte, the poetry-writing shark Decepticon, in the series Transformers: Robots in Disguise, a character he voiced for 39 episodes and later reprised for a special online project in 2015. In the Digimon franchise, he voiced Grizzlymon in the film Digimon Frontier: Island of the Lost Digimon. His other notable anime credits include roles in long-running and popular series such as Bleach, where he voiced characters like Koganehiko and Dordonii, and Code Geass, as Bartley Asprius. He also had roles in Cowboy Bebop and its follow-up film, Outlaw Star, Trigun, and Wolf's Rain.

In addition to his anime work, Spellos had a significant presence in Western animated series. He voiced Captain Miles Hawkins in BattleTech: The Animated Series and appeared in various other projects. His live-action film and television credits were also extensive, including appearances in Men in Black II, the comedy Yes Man, and the drama series American Dreams.
