Naoko Ishii is a Japanese voice actor from Tokyo, Japan, born on July 27th. She is also known by the name Naoko Shichio. Ishii has been active in the anime industry, with her credited roles spanning from the early 1990s through the late 1990s.

Ishii's career features a range of voice performances in both television series and original video animations. In the 1998 renewal of the classic series Marvelous Melmo, she voiced multiple characters, including Touch Watari, the youngest brother of the protagonist, as well as Hiromi Watari and Chieko. Another notable television role was as Amami Tomonaga, the mother in the 1994 mecha series The Brave Police J-Decker.

Her other television credits include roles in long-running and popular series. She appeared in Kodocha, providing voices for the characters Ayumi, Uchiyamada-kun, and Yasuko Sasaki. She also had roles in Trigun as a housewife and a mother, in You're Under Arrest as an old lady and a snack shop lady, and in Wedding Peach as a schoolgirl. Additionally, she was part of the cast for the historical epic Yokoyama Mitsuteru Sangokushi.

Beyond television, Ishii built an extensive filmography in the OVA format of the 1990s. Her credits include roles in Sanctuary, Tenchi Muyo! Ryo-Ohki as Tenchi's aunt, Gatchaman as a stewardess, and Zetsuai 1989 as Izumi's teacher. She also contributed to projects such as Babel II, Bad Boys, End of Summer, Kōryū no Mimi, Mermaid's Scar, Oshare Kozō wa Hanamaru, and Vampire Princess Miyu. In 1997, she was part of the cast for the anime special Bomberman: Yuuki o Arigatou Watashi ga Mimi ni Naru.

Throughout her career, Ishii frequently worked alongside a number of fellow voice actors, indicating regular collaboration within the industry during the 1990s. Her frequent co-stars included喜多川拓郎 (Kitagawa Takurō), 中村大树 (Nakamura Daiki), and 岛田敏 (Shimada Satoshi). This period represents the core of her known professional activity as a voice actor.
