Ushio Shima

Ushio Shima was a Japanese actor and voice actor, born on June 20, 1931. He was affiliated with the Tokyo Actor's Consumer's Cooperative Society. His date of death is reported as October 16, 1993.

Shima's career was active from at least the 1960s through the early 1980s, with a significant body of work in voice acting for both anime and dubbed foreign films. He is known for his role as the villain Lord Nazo, also referred to as Dr. Erich Nazo, in the 1967 anime series Ogon Bat. His other anime voice roles include Don Martino in the 1971 series Lupin III and Dolmanstein in the 1980 film Doraemon: Nobita's Dinosaur.

A substantial part of Shima's career was dedicated to providing Japanese voices for numerous Western films and television series. His extensive filmography in this area includes dubbing roles in major films such as Ben-Hur, Psycho, The Sound of Music, Dirty Harry, The French Connection, Patton, Chinatown, and One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest, among many others.
