Arturo Mercado Jr. is a prominent Mexican voice actor and dubbing director with a career spanning over four decades, recognized for his extensive work in anime, animation, and live-action dubbing. Born Arturo Mercado Leonel de Cervantes on November 29, 1974, in Mexico City, he comes from a renowned family of voice actors, being the third generation in the profession. He began his training in dubbing in 1979 at Estudios Sonoros Mexicanos under the direction of his grandmother and has also worked in commercial voice-over since 1981.

Mercado Jr. has built a prolific career in anime dubbing, lending his voice to a wide array of significant characters. He is known for his role as Tatsumi Aragaki in both Megalobox and its sequel, Megalobox 2: Nomad. In the Pokémon franchise, he voiced the character Brock in several of the early films, including Pokémon 4Ever and Pokémon Heroes, as well as in a substantial number of episodes. His other major anime roles include Pain (Nagato) in Naruto Shippūden, Teru Mikami in Death Note, Shu Tsukiyama in Tokyo Ghoul and its sequels, and Kazuma Soma in the 2019 Fruits Basket series. He also voices Gakuho Asano in Assassination Classroom, Togusa in Ghost in the Shell: Arise and Ghost in the Shell: SAC_2045, and Dr. Xeno in Dr. Stone: Science Future.

Beyond anime, Mercado Jr. is widely recognized as the official Spanish voice of Mickey Mouse since 2004, a role for which he is particularly well-known. His dubbing work also includes major live-action film roles, such as Harry Osborn in Sam Raimi's Spider-Man trilogy and William Lennox in the Transformers film series. He has been the recurring Spanish dubbing voice for actors like Tom Cruise, Jet Li, James Franco, and Matt Damon.
