Edu Moraes

Description
Edu Moraes is a Brazilian actor and voice actor known for his work in dubbing anime and Western animations into Portuguese. He is active in the dubbing industry, with his work based out of both Brasília and São Paulo.

Moraes is primarily recognized for his portrayal of the protagonist Joe in the acclaimed anime series Megalo Box. He first voiced the character, known in the first season as Junk Dog or Joe "Sem-Gear," in the 2018 anime Megalo Box. This dubbing was produced by BSB Studio in Brasília, under the direction of Giselle Ando.

He reprised this central role years later for the sequel, Megalo Box 2: NOMAD, which aired in 2021. In this season, he voiced the same character, now going by the monikers Joe or Nômade. The production of the second season's dubbing was unusual, as it was primarily handled by a different studio, DuBrasil in São Paulo. However, due to requests from the licensing companies, the voices of the main cast from the original Brasília-based dub, including Edu Moraes, were retained through remote recording sessions. This collaboration allowed him to continue his work alongside other returning cast members such as Sérgio Sartório, Giselle Ando, and Alexandra Medeiros.

Beyond his defining work in the Megalo Box franchise, his other noted voice role in animation includes Edmundo in the 2016 Western animated series Senhor Texugo e Dona Raposa.
