Bae Jungmi

Description
Bae Jungmi is a South Korean voice actor who began her career as a member of the 23rd cohort of the KBS Voice Actor Association in 1992. After two years as an in-house talent, she transitioned to freelance work in 1995, a path she has continued on since. Her educational background includes graduating from the Department of Theater and Film at Dongguk University.

Her entry into voice acting was influenced by her passion for theater. While active on stage, a fellow actor suggested she try the voice actor examination, a recommendation that led to her passing the KBS test that same year. Her voice is characterized as feminine yet possessing a distinctive sharpness, a quality that has made her a frequent choice for portraying characters with a tsundere, or prickly but affectionate, personality.

One of her notable roles in animation is providing the Korean voice for the main character in the SBS broadcast of the classic anime series The Brave Frog, known in Korean as Frog Wangnuni. In this series, she voiced the protagonist, a young and kind-hearted tree frog who faces numerous challenges. Her career has been marked by active participation in both foreign film dubs and animated series, establishing her as one of the most active female voice actors from her KBS recruiting class. She is married to Oh In-seong, a voice actor who was also part of the 23rd KBS cohort.
