Description
Démétan is a young tree frog whose early life was marked by tragedy when, as a tadpole, his siblings were devoured during an attack by hungry newts. He and his parents narrowly escaped and relocated to Rainbow Pond.

In their new home, Démétan and his family are automatic outcasts, facing significant social prejudice and bullying for their status as tree frogs at the bottom of the pond's hierarchy, a community dominated by toads who represent the upper crust.

Despite these barriers, Démétan forms a close, forbidden friendship with Ranatan, the daughter of the pond's wealthy and powerful leader. Their relationship is forced into secrecy, with interactions occurring under the cover of night.

Démétan's life is shaped by constant challenges, from confrontations with natural predators to enduring the ongoing bigotry of the pond's citizens. He operates in a brutal world where many who befriend the young frogs meet tragic ends.

His actions focus on protecting his loved ones, including Ranatan and his family, and striving to integrate into and ultimately change the pond community. This often involves guiding others, like a heartless leopard frog, toward justice and generosity. Through his sincerity and courage, the community gradually responds, joining efforts to create a brighter future.

His character develops from a victim of circumstance to an active agent of change, and his efforts contribute to a shift in the community's dynamics.
