Traudel Sperber is a German actress and voice artist, born on April 8, 1957, in Hamburg. She pursued her acting training at the Bühnenstudio Hedi Höpfner in Hamburg from 1973 to 1977, where she completed her studies. Following her Ausbildung, she was engaged in various theatre roles across Germany until 1984, after which she returned to Hamburg to work as a freelance actress in theatre, film, and television. In 1986, she expanded her professional activities to include work as a voice artist for audio plays and dubbing. Her work also extends behind the microphone, as she has taken on roles as a dubbing director.

Sperber's voice is featured in numerous German dubbing projects for international productions. Among her notable anime roles is the character Medusa in the series Soul Eater and Konan in Naruto Shippuden. Beyond anime, her dubbing work includes providing the German voice for Kate Harbour as Mixi in the children's series Bob der Baumeister, Inge Hornstra as Sandra Kinsella-Ryan in McLeods Töchter, Callie Thorne as Sasha Broussard in Navy CIS: New Orleans, and Hera Dunleavy as Dr. Miriam Adams in Auckland Detectives. She has also lent her voice to prominent actresses such as Shirley MacLaine, Mira Sorvino, and Daryl Hannah.

In addition to her voice work, Traudel Sperber has maintained an active career in front of the camera. Her television credits include appearances in numerous popular German series such as Tatort, Großstadtrevier, SOKO 5113, Adelheid und ihre Mörder, Ein Fall für zwei, Notruf Hafenkante, Stubbe – Von Fall zu Fall, and Die Pfefferkörner. She has also appeared in films like Lebenslänglich and Beim nächsten Kuß knall’ ich ihn nieder.

For her stage work, Sperber was awarded the Boy-Gobert-Preis for her portrayal of Desdemona in a production of Othello. Her son, Lukas T. Sperber, has also followed a career in the performing arts as an actor and voice artist.
