Mariù Safier is an Italian voice actress, journalist, and writer, best known for her prolific career in dubbing during the 1970s and 1980s. Born Maria Safier on November 24, 1947, in Rome, she began her career as an on-screen actress, appearing in the RAI mini-series Ragazza mia in 1960 and the police series Qui squadra mobile in the mid-1970s. However, she soon shifted her focus to voice acting and broadcasting, where she gained widespread recognition.

In the realm of voice acting, Safier became a prominent figure in the Italian dubbing industry, lending her voice to numerous foreign productions, including anime series, telenovelas, and telefilms. She is particularly remembered by anime fans for her work in the first Italian edition of the mecha series Muteki Kōjin Daitarn 3, known in Italy as Daitarn III. In this series, she provided the Italian voice for the character Reika Sanjo, a cadet from Interpol and one of the protagonist Banjo Haran's key companions. This role remains one of her most cited credits in the animation genre.

Beyond Daitarn III, her extensive dubbing portfolio included other notable animated series. She was the first Italian voice for the Sorceress in He-Man e i dominatori dell'universo and voiced the Fairy in various adaptations of Pinocchio, including Le nuove avventure di Pinocchio. Her work also extended into the world of soap operas and telenovelas, where she dubbed characters such as Susan Moore Baldwin in General Hospital and Luzia in Donne di sabbia. Safier eventually left the dubbing profession to concentrate on her other career pursuits.

Parallel to her voice acting, Safier built a distinguished career in journalism and broadcasting. She became a familiar voice and face for the Italian public broadcaster RAI, serving as a television announcer and contributing to radio programs. For many years, she was the voice of the CCISS traffic bulletins Viaggiare informati and the Onda verde updates on Rai Radio. She also co-hosted the popular Rai Radio 2 program Per voi giovani during the 1980s. As a journalist, she has been a regular contributor to the weekly magazine Confidenze, focusing on true stories.

Safier is also an established author. Her literary works include several historical biographies centered on the women of the House of Savoy, such as Mafalda di Savoia Assia. Un ostaggio nelle mani di Hitler and works on fashion and court life during the era of Queen Margherita. She has also published a novel, La steccaia, and a poetry collection titled D'ombra e sabbia. Her career thus spans multiple creative and media fields, from acting and dubbing to journalism and literature.
