Alison Lester is an American former voice actress known for her work in Singaporean English dubs of anime series during the late 1990s and early 2000s. Born on November 17, 1966, in Los Angeles, California, she later moved to Asia, living in Japan for eight years starting in 1991 before relocating to Singapore in 1999.

Lester's voice acting career is primarily associated with the Odex studio in Singapore. She played a significant role in making anime accessible to English-speaking audiences in Southeast Asia. One of her notable early roles was in the series Chosoku Spinner, where she voiced the characters Beso Kimura and Rian Yumemiya. She is also recognized for her work as the first voice of Nami in the Odex dub of the long-running series One Piece. In the series Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters, she lent her voice to several key characters in the Singaporean dub, including Téa Gardner, Mai Valentine, and Ishizu Ishtar.

Beyond these roles, Lester's extensive voice work includes a variety of characters in other popular series. She was part of the Singaporean cast for Digimon Tamers, voicing characters such as Renamon, Takato Matsuda, and Megumi Wong. In the series Daa! Daa! Daa!, she performed multiple roles, including Christine Hamada, Melissa, and Naomi Tenchi. Her work also extended to video games, most notably as the original English voice of Lisa in the PlayStation version of Castlevania: Symphony of the Night. She also provided voices for the Dark Hunter visual novels.

Lester's career in voice acting appears to have been part of a broader professional life focused on communication. Before moving to Asia, she worked as a Desk Officer for Singapore and Malaysia at the U.S. Department of Commerce. In Japan, in addition to voice work, she performed stand-up and improvised comedy at The Tokyo Comedy Store and worked as an editor. She is also an accomplished author and communication trainer. After moving to Singapore, she transitioned into a career as a communication consultant, presentation skills coach, and soft skills trainer, developing programs for major international companies. She has published books on presentation skills and communication, including Present for Success and Restroom Reflections: How Communication Changes Everything, as well as a collection of short stories titled Locked Out: Stories Far from Home. Lester is multilingual, speaking Mandarin, Japanese, and French in addition to her native English. She currently resides in England, having moved there from Singapore in 2016.
