Rin Aira is a Japanese voice actress and singer born on May 24, 2002, in Hiroshima Prefecture. She is affiliated with the talent agency Horipro International. Her path to a voice acting career began when she won the grand prize at the Miracle Seiyu Audition for the anime series Aikatsu Friends! in 2018. This victory led to her debut in 2019, voicing the character Wakaba Harukaze in that same series.

Aira's career is notably defined by her prominent roles within the long-running Aikatsu! franchise. In addition to Wakaba Harukaze in Aikatsu Friends!, she was cast as the main character, Raki Kiseki, in the spin-off series Aikatsu on Parade! later in 2019. She continued her involvement with the franchise by voicing the character Hip Hop Brake in the 2021 series Aikatsu! Planet, a live-action and anime hybrid show. Her work within this franchise also includes being a singer in the associated voice actor unit, Best Friends!. Beyond her iconic roles in Aikatsu!, Aira has built a diverse portfolio of voice work, particularly in 2020. That year, she lent her voice to several short-form anime, including the role of Anna in Kaoru no Taisetsu na Mono, Nioi-san in Poccolies, Haruko in Tokyo Gambo, and Haru in Mitchiri Wanko! Anima~tion. In 2022, she voiced the character Fumi in the animated film Guardy Girls.

For her performance as a rookie voice actress, Aira received significant industry recognition. In 2021, she was awarded the Best Rookie Actress award at the 15th Seiyu Awards, one of the most prestigious honors in the Japanese voice acting industry. In December 2022, Aira began a hiatus from her career due to health concerns. In January 2023, her agency announced that this hiatus would continue indefinitely to prioritize her recovery.
