Aya Mizoguchi

Aya Mizoguchi is a Japanese former voice actress and current sound director born on October 18, 1957, in Tokyo, Japan. She is also credited under the name Aya Mizoguchi in a slightly different writing style.
Her entry into the voice acting profession occurred after a period working as an office clerk. Through a connection at an animation company, she visited a studio and expressed interest in voice work. Although her initial attempt at background voice work was unsuccessful, she was introduced to a talent manager who encouraged the formation of a study group. This led to her co-founding a voice acting training group with fellow aspiring voice actors. Her first regular role in a television anime was as Sylvia in the series Cybot Robotchi.
Throughout her voice acting career, Mizoguchi took on a variety of roles. One of her most notable and long-running parts was as Jun Misugi in the 1983 television anime adaptation of Captain Tsubasa. She also voiced the character Shinichi in the television series Bio Armor Ryger. In addition to television work, she was active in original video animations. Among her OVA roles are multiple characters in the Cream Lemon series, including Aya Ōmuro, Iiya Ōane, Kyan Hitomi, and An Koshi. She also contributed voice work to tokusatsu productions, providing the voice for the character Harry in the series Kido Keiji Jiban and for Robo in Tokkei Winspector.
Beyond on-screen roles, Mizoguchi also performed in foreign film dubbing for Japanese releases and provided voices for video games, including a reprisal of the role Shinichi in Super Robot Taisen NEO.
Later in her career, Mizoguchi transitioned from performing to working in sound direction and production. She served as the sound director for the anime series Sentimental Journey and the OVA Yokohama Kaidashi Kikou. Her production work also extended to numerous video game titles, primarily within the Super Robot Taisen series. She has also been involved in training new talent at voice acting schools.
