Conchita Núñez, born María de la Concepción Núñez Garrido in 1943, was a prolific Spanish actress whose legacy is primarily defined by her extensive career as a voice actor in dubbing. She began her artistic journey on the radio in the 1950s before transitioning to on-stage and on-screen acting in the 1960s, appearing in various theatrical productions and a dozen films. However, from 1973 onward, she dedicated herself exclusively to voice acting, a field in which she worked for over four decades until her death on 26 June 2009.
Núñez became a beloved and recognizable voice for Spanish audiences through her work dubbing characters in numerous animated series. She is particularly well-known for voicing the young protagonist in The Adventures of Tom Sawyer. In the series Anime Sanjushi, an anime adaptation of The Three Musketeers, she provided the voice for the cunning antagonist Milady de Winter. Her contributions to the classic series Marco, also known as From the Apennines to the Andes, were multifaceted; she voiced the characters Conccetta, Domenico, and Pablo. Another of her iconic roles was Pedro the goatherd in the beloved anime Heidi, Girl of the Alps.
