Born in 1934, she began her professional training in radio at Ràdio Joventut before working as a presenter at stations such as Ràdio Miramar and Radio Nacional de España in Barcelona. She later transitioned to dubbing after successfully auditioning at a Barcelona studio.

In the realm of anime and animation, Linares is known for several prominent roles in Catalan and Spanish dubs. She provided the voice for the female manifestation of the character Baron Ashler in the classic series Mazinger Z. Another notable credit is her role as Mamangadon in the. Slump & Arale-chan Ncha! Penguin Mura wa Hare no chi Hare, which was broadcast in Catalan. Her filmography also includes the character Suimei in the original video animation Phantom Quest Corp..
