Gilfranco Baroni, known professionally as Gil Baroni, was an Italian actor and voice actor born on March 13, 1937, in Como, Italy. He passed away on April 26, 2020, in Rome. His career spanned several decades, during which he made significant contributions to both live-action and voice acting in the Italian entertainment industry.

In the realm of anime and animation, Baroni provided the Italian voice for a number of memorable characters. He was the voice of Boss in the anime series Mazinga Z and its related works, such as Mazinkaiser. His other prominent animation roles included voicing Tigro in both Le avventure di Winnie the Pooh and Le nuove avventure di Winnie the Pooh, Nonno Puffo in Puffi, and providing the first voice for Archimede Pitagorico in DuckTales. He also voiced characters in animated films, such as Sbuccia in Red e Toby nemiciamici, Flip in Piccolo Nemo - Avventure nel mondo dei sogni, and Francis in Oliver & Company.

Beyond animation, Baroni had an extensive career dubbing live-action films and television series. He was particularly well-known for being the regular Italian voice of actor Michael Gough, dubbing his portrayal of Alfred Pennyworth in several Batman films of the 1990s. His vast filmography included dubbing John Belushi in Animal House, Charles Durning in Mister Hula Hoop, and Oliver Ford Davies in Star Wars: Episodio II - L'attacco dei cloni. On television, he was the voice of Tom Bosley in Happy Days and Danny DeVito in Taxi.
