Erik Davies is an American voice actor and actor, born on June 5, 1973, in New York City. He spent part of his youth outside the United States, growing up in Hong Kong, Australia, and Germany, in addition to Connecticut. Davies comes from a family with a strong artistic background; his great-great-grandfather was the Danish painter Wilhelm Kyhn. He developed an early interest in visual arts and filmmaking, creating home movies with his brother from a young age. He later attended Ithaca College, where he designed an independent double-major curriculum that combined speech communication, writing, studio arts, and cinema. After college, he returned to New York City and committed to professional acting, training at the Deena Levy Theatre Studio and studying with various technique instructors.

Davies began his on-screen career with a co-starring role in a crossover episode of the NBC series ER and Third Watch, a part that earned him his Screen Actors Guild card. His voice work in anime dubbing became prominent in the mid-2000s. One of his noted roles from this period is Azuma, a field operative and new recruit in the Public Security Section 9 team, in the series Ghost in the Shell: Stand Alone Complex 2nd GIG. He also provided the English voice for the character in the film Ghost in the Shell 2: Innocence. His other significant anime credits from this era include Sadaharu Inui in The Prince of Tennis, Beauchamp in Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo, and various roles in series such as Eureka Seven, Samurai Champloo, and Planetes. His later anime work includes voicing Haruka Kuran in Vampire Knight: Guilty.

Beyond anime, Davies has built an extensive career as an audiobook narrator, with over forty titles to his credit. His narration of Andre Agassi's autobiography, Open, won him an AudioFile Earphones Award. He also received an Audie Award nomination for his work on the novel Going Bovine. His voice can also be heard in video games, where he voiced the character Sting in Kamen Rider: Dragon Knight and provided additional voices for games like Tom Clancy's EndWar and Section 8. In addition to voice acting, he has worked in live-action film, including a role in the independent feature High Society: A Pot Boiler, which he also co-wrote and produced with his brother.
