Yurie Funato is a Japanese voice actress born in Saitama Prefecture on September 18, 1994. She is affiliated with the talent agency Amuse Inc.. Growing up in a family with a deep appreciation for anime and video games, and with her mother working as a professional narrator, Funato developed an early interest in voice acting. Her path to the profession was supported by a diverse range of childhood activities, including jazz dance, calligraphy, piano, and flute, the latter of which she played in her school's brass band. After high school, she attended Watanabe Entertainment College and subsequently passed an audition to begin her career.

Funato's professional journey started in 2015 under the agency Holy Peak, during which time she was also an original member of the voice actor idol group Purely Monster. In 2018, she took a hiatus from the entertainment industry to recover from a leg injury, which led to her departure from both the idol group and her agency. Following her recovery, she joined her current agency, Amuse Inc., in 2019 and resumed her career.

Her voice acting filmography includes a variety of roles in anime television series. In 2021, she voiced Leila in The Hidden Dungeon Only I Can Enter and Kuracchi in Mazica Party. She also plays a role in the series 30MS Around!. Funato secured her first main lead role in 2023 as Umika Konohoshi, the protagonist of the anime series Stardust Telepath. This was followed by another notable role as Hikari Hinata in the 2024 racing anime Highspeed Etoile. Beyond these, her other anime credits include appearances in A Centaur's Life, Didn't I Say to Make My Abilities Average in the Next Life?!, and Shine Post, among others. She is also active in the gaming industry, having voiced characters in long-running titles such as Monster Strike and the popular franchise The Idolm@ster.

In addition to her acting skills, Funato is known for her musical talent, possessing absolute pitch and the ability to play both the flute and piano. She has also cultivated unique expertise, becoming a certified sake sommelier, a qualification she puts to use in her own radio program about Japanese sake. Within the voice acting community, she is known for her collaborative work and friendships with fellow Amuse talents such as Kaori Maeda, Moeka Koizumi, and Karin Isobe, with whom she has formed units and appeared in various projects. Her career has been marked by a steady rise, from her early days in an idol group to landing lead roles in major anime productions.
