Jodi Carlisle

Description
Jodi Carlisle is an American actress with a career spanning both live-action and voice work, beginning in the early 1980s. Her entry into voice acting started with the animated series Pac-Man in 1982. Over the decades, she has built a extensive resume that includes prominent roles in Western animation, video games, and English dubs of anime series.

While Carlisle is widely recognized for her long-running role as the voice of Marianne Thornberry in the Nickelodeon series The Wild Thornberrys, which aired from 1998 to 2004 and spawned two feature films, her work also extends into the realm of anime. She provided voices for the critically acclaimed series Avatar: The Last Airbender, where she voiced the Herbalist and contributed additional voices in its first season.

A more recent example of her anime voice work is her role as Goldva in the 2021 English dub of the Shaman King series. In this adaptation, Carlisle took over the role of Goldva, a member of the Patch Tribe who serves as an officiant in the Shaman Fight, appearing in multiple episodes throughout the first part of the series. Her casting was part of a larger ensemble that featured both new voice actors and reprisals from the original 2001 English adaptation.

Beyond her on-screen and voice work, Carlisle is an accomplished stage actress and an Associate Artist with the Colony Theatre Company in Los Angeles. Her contributions to theatre were recognized in 1997 when she received the LA Drama Critics Circle Natalie Schafer Award.
