Mark Gatha

Mark Gatha is a Canadian former voice actor recognized for his work in anime and video game dubs produced by Blue Water Studios in the early 2000s. Born on March 16, 1974, in Calgary, Alberta, he earned a theater degree from the University of Alberta in 1996 before beginning his career in voice-over. He was active in the industry from approximately 1996 to 2006.

Gatha is best known for providing the English voice of the protagonist Domon Kasshu in the anime series Mobile Fighter G Gundam. He also gained recognition for his portrayal of the title character X in several entries of the Mega Man X video game series, including Mega Man X8, Mega Man X: Command Mission, and the 2005 original video animation Mega Man Maverick Hunter X: The Day of Sigma. His other notable anime roles include Irvine in Zoids: Chaotic Century and Captain Spike in the series D.I.C.E..

In addition to these prominent parts, Gatha contributed voices to a variety of other projects. His anime and animation filmography includes roles in Betterman as Cactus, Flame of Recca as Saiha, Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam as Mezun Mecks, and Hoop Days as Kazuhiko Aikawa. He also voiced the character Lan Hikari in the video game Mega Man Battle Network 5: Double Team DS and took on the role of Domon Kasshu in the fighting games Gundam: Battle Assault 2 and Battle Assault 3 featuring Gundam Seed.

After his retirement from voice acting in 2006, Gatha pursued a career in medicine. According to statements from fellow voice actor Lucas Gilbertson, he trained to become an orthopedic surgeon and practices in the Vancouver area.
