Tamami Momose is a Japanese manga artist and writer known for her work in the four-panel comic strip format, with several of her series adapted into anime. She was born in Tokyo, Japan, and her birthday is July 21.
Momose is best known as the author and artist of Doki Doki School Hours, also known in Japanese as Sensei no Ojikan. This manga, a four-panel comedy series, was serialized in various Manga Life magazines published by Takeshobo, running from February 1997 to April 2013. The series was compiled into 12 volumes. The story centers on a 27-year-old homeroom teacher who looks much younger than her age and the eccentric students in her class. In 2004, the manga was adapted into a 13-episode anime television series by the studio J.C.Staff, which aired on TV Tokyo. This was followed by a seven-episode original video animation series, Sensei no Ojikan Gold, released on DVDs from August 2004 to February 2005.
Before Doki Doki School Hours, Momose created Momoiro Sisters, a manga that began serialization in 1993 and concluded in 2002, spanning 10 volumes. This work was also adapted into an anime in 1998.
