Alvin Sanders
Description
Alvin Sanders is an American-Canadian voice actor and voice director, born on March 16, 1952, in Oakland, California. He is known for his extensive work in animated series, particularly for characters in English-dubbed anime and Western animation. He currently serves on the executive board of the Union of British Columbia Performers.
Sanders began his on-screen acting career in 1984, but by the early 1990s, he had expanded into voice acting, contributing to a wide range of animated projects. A significant portion of his voice work was recorded in Canada, where he became a prominent figure in the industry.
Among his most recognized anime roles is the Decepticon Demolishor in the Transformers: Unicron Trilogy. He first voiced the character in Transformers: Armada (2002) and reprised the role for its sequel, Transformers: Energon (2004). In the series, Demolishor is portrayed as a loyal but sometimes simple-minded soldier. Sanders also provided voices for several other anime series, including the original English dub of Dragon Ball Z, where he was the first voice of Mr. Popo, and for characters in InuYasha and Night Warriors: Darkstalkers' Revenge.
Beyond anime, Sanders's career features a variety of recurring collaborations and notable roles. He voiced characters in multiple series produced by DiC Entertainment, such as the various G.I.
