Maurizio Trombini is an established Italian voice actor and actor, born in Santhià on October 27, 1954. His career is notable for its breadth, spanning theatre, television, and extensive voice work in animation and dubbing. Trombini's entry into the performing arts began in theatre, where he worked with renowned directors such as Giorgio Strehler at the Piccolo Teatro in Milan and performed alongside actors like Vittorio Gassman, Dario Fo, and Franca Rame. He later transitioned into voice acting, a field in which he has become highly respected for his versatility.

Among his many voice roles in anime, Trombini is known for voicing the title character Giatrus in the series "Giatrus, il primo uomo" (Hajime Ningen Gyatoruz). He also provided the Italian voice for the character James Black in the television film "Lupin III vs. Detective Conan". His other prominent anime and animation roles include Martian Manhunter in "Justice League" and "Justice League Unlimited," Rhinox in "Beast Wars," Sid in "The Tex Avery Show," Re Cold in "Dragon Ball Z" and "Dragon Ball Super: Broly," and Gerolamo in "Remì le sue avventure". He has also contributed voices to the Italian versions of popular series such as "One Piece," "Naruto: Shippuden," "Transformers: Prime," and the Pokémon films, for which he also served as a dubbing director.

Beyond his work in animation, Trombini's voice is widely recognized in Italy as the off-camera narrator for the long-running television program "Lucignolo" on Italia 1 and for the comedic sketches of the Swiss-Italian television characters performed by the trio Aldo, Giovanni e Giacomo. His contributions to the field have been recognized with two MediaStar awards for best voice talent and a special award at the Voci nell'Ombra ceremony in 2018.
