Stan Hart is the stage name of Stuart Zagnit, an American actor born on March 28, 1952, who has built a extensive career in voice acting for anime, as well as in television, film, and theatre. His voice acting work is closely associated with the New York-based dubbing industry, particularly during the late 1990s and early 2000s, where he contributed to English adaptations produced by companies like 4Kids Entertainment, DuArt Film and Video, and TAJ Productions.
One of his most recognized and long-running voice roles is that of Professor Oak in the internationally successful Pokémon anime franchise. Hart provided the English voice for the character from the series' debut through the first eight seasons, covering episodes from the original series up to Pokémon Advance. His work in the anime comedy The Irresponsible Captain Tylor includes voicing Dr. Hidezaburo Kitaguchi across the television series and providing the voice for Admiral Yutta Do Lonawer in later episodes of the OVA.
