Norma Angélica Echevarría Román was a Mexican voice actress born on July 18, 1960, in Mexico City. She pursued her acting training at the Instituto de Arte Escénico de Miguel Córcega and also studied with the dramaturg and director Héctor Mendoza and at the Roy Heart Theater. Her career in dubbing spanned over two decades, during which she also worked in theatre, radio, television, and commercial voiceovers. Echevarría passed away on October 27, 2013, at the age of fifty-three due to complications from multiple sclerosis.
Echevarría is perhaps best known for her iconic role as the voice of Asuka Langley Sōryū in the original Latin American Spanish dub of the anime series Neon Genesis Evangelion. Another prominent role was as Sailor Star Maker in the Sailor Moon franchise, particularly in the Sailor Moon Sailor Stars series. Her filmography includes a wide array of anime characters. She voiced Saki Asamiya in the OVA series Sukeban Deka and the adult version of Kyoko Shiba in the OVA Shuten Doji. Other significant anime roles include Isis Ishtar in Yu-Gi-Oh!, Lilly in Shaman King, Marina in Magical Doremi, and Cere Cere in Sailor Moon SuperS.

Her work included voicing Jennifer Walters, also known as She-Hulk, in the series Hulk: El hombre increíble and multiple characters in various Spider-Man series, such as Gwen Stacy.
