Born Isidro Olace Miranda on June 4, 1935, in Mexico City, he began his artistic journey as a child actor in 1948, participating in radio novels on prominent stations like XEW. His early career was deeply rooted in Mexican radio, where he became an iconic figure as the long-standing narrator for the famed radio serial Kalimán during the 1960s and 1970s, a role that cemented his place in popular culture.

In the late 1970s, Olace relocated to Los Angeles, California, where he became one of the pioneering actors, alongside Salvador Nájar and Carlos Petrel, to establish a base for Spanish-language dubbing in the United States. He maintained a prolific career in Los Angeles for decades, contributing his voice to a vast array of projects and becoming a foundational figure in the dubbing industry there.

In the realm of anime, he is known for his role as Muff Potter in the 1980 series The Adventures of Tom Sawyer and as Inserto in Roots Search. Joe, and several roles in the original Transformers G1 series, including Wheeljack and Thundercracker.
