Patrick Donnay is a Belgian actor and theatre director with an extensive career in dubbing, providing the French-language voices for numerous characters in anime, animated series, and live-action films. He was born on October 15, 1956, in Liège, Belgium. A graduate of the Institut des arts de diffusion (IAD) in 1978, he became a permanent comedian at the Théâtre national de la Communauté française de Belgique in 1990, a position he held until 2020. His stage career began at the Festival d'Avignon, and he has also worked as a director and the artistic director of the festival Paroles d'Humains.
Alongside his theatre work, Donnay has built a prolific career in voice acting. In anime and animation, he is known for voicing Matoriv in the series Dragon Quest: The Adventure of Dai.
