Barbara Seifert is a German actress and voice artist, born in Bonn in 1970, who has built a diverse career spanning theatre, film, and voice acting. She received her formal artistic training at the prestigious Hochschule für Schauspielkunst Ernst Busch in Berlin, graduating in 1994. Her entry into voice acting began around 1999, with much of her work in anime and comic adaptations being produced by Aaron Film in Nuremberg.

Seifert is recognized in the anime community for her voice work in several notable series and films from the late 1990s and 2000s. She provided the German voice for the character Nina Williams in the 1998 anime adaptation Tekken: The Motion Picture, voicing the role for the German dubbed version released around 2000. Another significant early role was as the android Chi in the series Chobits (2002), where she voiced the lead character. Her other anime credits include roles in Kite as Sawa, Fake as Carol, Shadow Skill as Faurink Maya, Aquarian Age: Sign for Evolution as Rumiko Sakamoto, and Mezzo as Misaki.

Beyond anime, her voice work encompasses a range of live-action films and series. This includes dubbing for productions such as Sick Boy, Dead Cert, and the television series Copper - Justice is Brutal. Seifert's career is marked by recurring collaborations with specific directors and theaters, particularly in her extensive stage work. She has a long-standing association with the Gostner Hoftheater in Nürnberg and has frequently worked with directors like Maya Fanke and Helmut Brosch. Since 2001, she has also been a sporadic but enduring collaborator with the Russian avant-garde theater group Akhe Group, touring internationally with them in productions like The White Cabin.

Throughout her career, Seifert has received recognition for her acting. Notably, she won the Theaterpreis für herausragende schauspielerische Leistungen (Theatre Prize for Outstanding Acting Achievements) in 2000. Her work with the Akhe Group on the production White Cabin also garnered significant international accolades, including a Fringe First and a Total Theatre Award at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival in 2003.
