Shane Callahan

Description
Shane Callahan is an American voice actor known for his work in English dubs of anime series and films during the 1990s and early 2000s. His performances are primarily associated with productions dubbed by Media Blasters, a company known for licensing and localizing Japanese animation for North American audiences. Callahan's voice acting credits, while not extensive, include prominent roles in several notable OVA (Original Video Animation) titles from that era.

One of his primary roles is as the voice of Go Takarada in the English adaptation of the fantasy comedy OVA Elf Princess Rane. Released in 1995, the series follows the energetic and treasure-obsessed high school student Go, whose life changes when he encounters the titular elf princess. The English-language version of the series, directed by Scott Houle for Media Blasters, featured Callahan in this lead role, voicing the protagonist opposite Juliet Cesario as Rane.

Callahan also provided the voice for the character Oburi in the English dub of the influential and controversial 1998 cyberpunk anime Kite. In this dark action story, Oburi is a young assassin, a kindred spirit to the film's main character, Sawa. The English-language adaptation, which was produced with a cast that included Charlie Watson as Sawa and Dave Underwood as Akai, featured Callahan in this significant supporting role. His performance contributed to the English-language version of this well-known title.

His voice acting credits also include the role of Mikimaro Shimura in the 1995 anime adaptation of the manga series Marriage. The series is a romantic drama, and Callahan was part of the English voice cast for this production. This role, along with his work in Elf Princess Rane and Kite, represents the core of his known contributions to English-dubbed anime from the mid-to-late 1990s.
