Bertrand Boucheroy

Description
Bertrand Boucheroy is a French actor and screenwriter, primarily known for his work in television and voice acting during the 1980s and 1990s. He is recognised within anime circles for providing the French voice for the character Gogul in the second episode of the influential OVA series Cyber City Oedo 808.

Before his voice acting work, Boucheroy gained visibility as a television presenter for French youth programming. He joined the team of the popular children's show Récré A2 on Antenne 2 during the Christmas holidays in 1986. Within the program, he appeared in various comedic sketches and had a segment titled Bertranche de vie. Following the departure of main host Dorothée, he became one of the presenters of the spin-off show Récré A2 matin, alongside Marie Dauphin and Charlotte Kady. Prior to this, he had worked on the TF1 program Vitamine, where he hosted a games and knowledge segment called Vitavurms.

His work as a voice actor, credited for the French-language adaptation, includes providing additional voices for the animated series Alvin and the Chipmunks. However, his most documented voice role is in Cyber City Oedo 808, a cyberpunk OVA series. In the French dub produced by the studio S.T.A.R.T., Boucheroy voiced the character Gogul specifically for the second OAV episode. This role was performed by Pascal Germain for the first episode.

Beyond performing, Boucheroy also worked as a writer and screenwriter, sometimes under the pseudonym Bertrand Victor. In this capacity, he contributed scripts for several animated series, including Funky Cops, La Légende de Croc-Blanc, and Les Enfants de Toromiro. He also wrote for the long-running French television soap opera Marc et Sophie and created sketches for the program DKTV.
