Mario Santini was a French actor and voice director, born Mario Jean Léonard Santini on June 25, 1945, in Paris, and passed away on September 14, 2001, also in Paris. He was the younger brother of fellow actor Pierre Santini. While he appeared in French film and television productions, Santini became best known for his extensive and prolific career in dubbing, lending his distinctive booming voice to numerous characters in animated series and films for French audiences.

In the realm of anime, Santini contributed to the French adaptations of several series. One of his noted roles is that of Hasegawa in the third original video animation of the cyberpunk series Cyber City Oedo 808. His other anime voice work included providing the voice for the villainous Colonel Olrik in the animated adaptation of Blake and Mortimer.

Beyond anime, Santini's voice became familiar to French viewers through a wide array of Western animation. He is likely most famous for being the French voice of the title character in both the film and animated series Beetlejuice. He also had prominent roles in the DC Animated Universe, where he was the first voice for both the Mad Hatter and the Ventriloquist/Scarface in Batman: The Animated Series, and voiced Perry White and Bruno Mannheim in Superman: The Animated Series. His other animated roles included Krumm in Drôles de Monstres (Aaahh!!! Real Monsters), Gogo le dodo in Les Tiny Toons (Tiny Toon Adventures), and various characters in the first French dub of The Simpsons, such as Murphy (Homer's half-brother), Fat Tony, and Clancy Bouvier.
