Alejandro Illescas Calderón was a Mexican actor and voice actor, born on January 3, 1960. He began his artistic career studying acting at the theater workshop of Manolo Fábregas and performed in various stage productions. His professional activity in dubbing and on-screen acting spanned from approximately 1987 until his death in 2008.
Illescas built a prolific career in Latin American dubbing, providing voices for a wide array of characters in anime, animated series, and live-action films. He is particularly remembered for his role as Maximilian Max Jenius in the Latin American Spanish dub of the anime film The Super Dimension Fortress Macross: Do You Remember Love?. His work in anime was extensive and included major roles such as the voice of Genma Saotome in Ranma ½, Krillin in Dragon Ball GT, and Eiji Date in Hajime no Ippo. He also lent his voice to Ebisu in the Naruto series, a role left unfinished at the time of his death.
