Kanako Takatsuki is a Japanese voice actress and singer born on September 25, 1993, in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan. She began her entertainment career in 2012 as a singer, making her major debut with the single Bonjou Cinderella no Shiruke no Aru Onegai under the label Victor Entertainment. Prior to her professional debut, she had gained experience as an utaite, a person who posts cover songs on the video sharing website Niconico, and had studied acting at the Himawari Theatre Group after graduating from middle school.
Takatsuki's voice acting debut came in 2015 when she was cast as Hanamaru Kunikida in the multimedia project Love Live! Sunshine!!. This role proved to be a significant breakthrough, as it also made her a member of the project's idol group unit, Aqours, and its sub-unit AZALEA. She has continued to voice this character across various related productions, including the anime series' second season, the film Love Live! Sunshine!! The School Idol Movie Over the Rainbow, and the spinoff series Genjitsu no Yohane -Sunshine in the Mirror-. Beyond the Love Live! franchise, her other anime roles include Ayano Katō in Love and Lies, Majiha Purple in I'm Standing on a Million Lives, and Kaoru Konno in the web anime Vlad Love. Her work in video games includes providing the voice for Laias in King's Raid and roles in Toukiden 2.
In addition to her solo singing career, Takatsuki has been involved in several musical collaborations. In 2019, she formed the vocal and performance unit BlooDye with Karin Isobe, where she serves as a lead singer. Her contributions to music also extend to lyric writing, having written songs such as "Yowamushi Signal" for her debut single. Her work as a member of Aqours was recognized in 2017 when the group received the Singing Award at the 11th Seiyu Awards.
Throughout her career, Takatsuki has been known by several nicknames, including "King" and "Kinchan," a name given to her by her fellow Aqours members and fans. She was formerly affiliated with the talent agency Amuse but became a freelancer at the end of 2024.
