R. Bruce Elliott is an American actor, voice actor, dubbing director, and scriptwriter with a career spanning several decades, known primarily for his extensive work in English-language dubs of Japanese anime series for Funimation. Born Robert Bruce Elliott on September 3, 1949, in Renton, Washington, his career in voice acting began to flourish in the early 2000s, building upon previous experience in live-action television and film. He is recognized for a distinctive voice well-suited to authoritative, wise, or eccentric older characters, as well as for his narration work.

One of Elliott's most prominent and long-running roles is that of Makarov Dreyar, the third master of the Fairy Tail guild, in the hit series Fairy Tail and its sequel, Fairy Tail: 100 Years Quest. He is also the English voice of Captain Ginyu, the leader of the eponymous Ginyu Force, in the Funimation dub of the Dragon Ball franchise, taking over the role from Brice Armstrong and voicing the character in Dragon Ball Z Kai, Dragon Ball Super, and numerous video games. His other significant anime roles include Richard Moore (the English voice of Kogoro Mouri) in the long-running detective series Case Closed, Dot Pyxis in Attack on Titan, and Edward Newgate, also known as Whitebeard, in One Piece. He also took on the role of Xu Fu in the second season of the zombie idol anime, Zombie Land Saga Revenge. Beyond these, Elliott's filmography is vast, with credits in series such as Fullmetal Alchemist, Baccano!, Space Dandy (as the Narrator), and Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple.

Throughout his career, Elliott has been a frequent collaborator with the anime distributor Funimation, providing voices for a significant portion of their dubbed productions. In addition to acting, he has also contributed as an ADR director, making his directing debut on the series Romeo × Juliet, and has worked as a scriptwriter.
