Tetsuya Tashiro

Tetsuya Tashiro is a Japanese manga artist born in 1984 and residing in Aichi Prefecture. He made his professional debut in 2008 with the work Kamigami no Address. In 2009, he published the one-shot Ability Shop. Tashiro is best known as the illustrator of the dark fantasy action series Akame ga KILL!, which was created in collaboration with writer Takahiro. The manga began serialization in Square Enix's Gekkan Gangan JOKER magazine in 2010. Tashiro's role as illustrator involved bringing the world of the story and its assassins, Night Raid, to life with dynamic action sequences.

Following the conclusion of Akame ga KILL!, Tashiro began working on his own original manga series as both writer and artist. His subsequent work includes Kakuriyo-account, which launched in 2017. He is also the creator of Kaijin Reijoh, a seinen manga aimed at adult readers that features serial killers as protagonists fighting against evil. This series has been published in multiple volumes since 2021.

Beyond his print work, Tashiro has contributed to anime productions. He is credited for the original character design and as the manga creator for the 2014 television anime adaptation of Akame ga KILL!, produced by studio White Fox. His role as a guest at the XXI Salón del Manga de Barcelona in 2015 underscores his international recognition and significance as a creator in the manga industry.
