Berenice Weichert
Description
Berenice Weichert is a German voice actress born in 1979 who began her career in Berlin at the age of eight after being discovered for her vocal versatility. She has since lent her voice to over a thousand productions, primarily in leading roles, spanning feature films, television series, video games, radio commercials, and audiobooks. Parallel to her voice-acting career, Weichert studied medicine and has been working as a qualified doctor since 2005, continuing her voice work on a freelance basis. Her medical expertise has also led to her involvement in creating teaching videos for the Charité hospital in Berlin. In 2013, she expanded her professional activities to include writing German dubbing scripts, for example for the series Nashville, and worked as a dubbing director for the medical drama Emily Owens MD.
Weichert is known in the anime and animation field for her role as Miura in the 2017 anime film Fireworks, Should We See It from the Side or the Bottom?, which was released in Germany as Fireworks – Alles eine Frage der Zeit. She also provided the German voice for the character Clarissa in the 2006 German-language dub of the classic anime film Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro, also known as Das Schloss des Cagliostro.
Beyond animation, Weichert has established herself as one of the primary German voices for several prominent international actors. She is the regular German voice for Rebecca Ferguson, dubbing her roles as Ilsa Faust in the Mission: Impossible film series (from Rogue Nation to Dead Reckoning) and as Lady Jessica in the Dune films. She also frequently dubs Hayley Atwell, most notably as Peggy Carter across the Marvel Cinematic Universe, including in Captain America: The First Avenger, multiple Avengers films, and the animated series What If...?. Her long-standing association with Anna Paquin saw her voice the role of Rogue in the X-Men film series. Other significant recurring voice roles include Scarlett Johansson in films like A Good Woman and A Love Song for Bobby Long, as well as Tania Raymonde as Alexandra Rousseau in the television series Lost. Her recent work includes voicing Natsuko in the 2024 anime series Terminator Zero and continuing her role as Lady Jessica in Dune: Part Two. Weichert has also been active in the audio drama and audiobook market, with her vocal range establishing her in that medium as well.
