Laurence Jeanneret

Description
Laurence Jeanneret is a French actress whose career encompasses theater, cinema, television, and voice acting. She was trained at the Conservatoire National Supérieur d'Art Dramatique in Paris, graduating with the promotion of 1977, where she was a student of Jean-Paul Roussillon. Her training also includes a professional teaching stage at the Cours Florent and a license in theatrical teaching and practice from the Sorbonne Nouvelle Paris III, obtained in 2011. Jeanneret has been active in dubbing since 1980, a field she has described as both a significant part of her career and a space where she had the opportunity to work with people who inspired her in her youth.

Her voice work spans animation and live-action dubbing. In animation, she provided the voice for Banks in the French dub of the 2017 anime film Mary and The Witch's Flower, directed by Hiromasa Yonebayashi and produced by Studio Ponoc. Another notable voice role in animation came earlier, when she voiced Kom's Mother in the 1999 film A Monkey's Tale (Le château des singes).

A significant portion of her dubbing career is in live-action series. She was the first French voice of the character Nikki Newman in the long-running American soap opera The Young and the Restless (Les Feux de l'Amour), a role she performed for seven months starting in 1989 when the series began airing in France. Her other dubbing credits in American series include providing voices for Aunt Helen in The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air (Le Prince de Bel-Air), Nurse Mary Proctor in Third Watch (New York 911), and Mrs. Freeman in Will & Grace. She also lent her voice to the character Emmy in The Bold and the Beautiful (Amour, Gloire et Beauté) and to Yvonne Tisley in Beverly Hills, 90210.

In addition to her performance career, Laurence Jeanneret is a theater teacher. She has expressed a strong interest in pedagogy and transmission, leading her to pursue further education to teach theatrical practice.
