Masaaki Ihara is a Japanese voice actor from Osaka Prefecture, born on July 5. He is affiliated with the talent agency Ken Production. His path to voice acting began after graduating from university in Osaka, when he decided to pursue a career as an actor. To achieve this goal, he moved to Tokyo and worked at a water quality inspection company to save money while training. He is a graduate of the 15th advanced class of School Duo, a voice actor training school attached to Ken Production.
Ihara's career started in the 2010s, with some of his earliest roles appearing in 2013. Since his debut, he has built a substantial portfolio, primarily voicing supporting and guest characters across a wide range of anime television series and films.
