Hein van Beem is a Dutch actor and voice actor born on September 12, 1955, in Zutphen, Netherlands. He graduated from the acting program at the Maastrichtse Toneelacademie. His on-screen acting career began in the early 1990s, with notable roles including Nico Stenders in the long-running soap opera Goede tijden, slechte tijden during the 1990-1991 season, as well as guest appearances in popular Dutch series such as Toen was geluk heel gewoon, Kees & Co, and Flodder.

Starting in 2001, van Beem expanded his career to include voice acting and voice directing. He has provided the Dutch voices for numerous characters in a wide variety of animated films and television series. In the realm of anime, he is known for his work on several major franchises. He voiced the character Kunzite in the Dutch version of the classic Sailor Moon anime, taking over the role from another actor. He also voiced Eccentro in the Dutch version of the series Mon Colle Knights. For the web series Pokémon Generations, he voiced two distinct characters: Gorm in episode 13 and Lysandre in episode 16.

Beyond anime, van Beem's extensive voice work covers a broad range of international productions. He has lent his voice to characters in popular series such as SpongeBob SquarePants, The Fairly OddParents, W.I.T.C.H. as Prince Phobos, and Johnny Test. His film voice acting credits include roles in the Dutch versions of Curious George, Garfield Gets Real, Incredibles 2, and Pinocchio (2022). In addition to his work as a performer, Hein van Beem is also active as a voice director, contributing to the Dutch adaptations of various projects.
